The 24~36 participants who have passed the 1st round and been selected by the competition committee.

6. Competition requirements
During the 2nd round participants must compose one free composition and one other work(among variation, passacaglia, fuga, or canon) for a total of two works. The free composition cannot be a variation as well (must be a different genre).
Works should be submitted according to one of the proposed genres below.
[Free Compositional Selection]
a. Free composition does not distinguish between vocal and instrumental works.
b. The motif or theme of the composition must be selected from one of the 3 or more options suggested by the competition committee.
(1) Vocal Works
All vocals both religious and secular are acceptable.
Performance type (solo, duet, choral) is not restricted.
Solo works or duets must be accompanied by a multi-voiced (polyphonic) instrument. In the case of trios or multiple voices, however, the accompaniment of a instrument is not necessarily required.
Accompaniments may include piano or other traditional orchestral instruments. Traditional folk instruments from the participant’s country are permitted as well.
Religious lyrics must be selected from those provided by the competition committee.
The only acceptable language for composition titles and/or lyrics is English.
(2) Instrumental Works
No restrictions of performance type (solo, duet, trio, etc…)
Solo instrumentals must be accompanied by a multi-voiced (polyphonic) instrument. In the case of duets or multiple instruments, an accompanying instrument may not benecessary. Native folk instruments are also acceptable.
[Variation, Passacaglia, Fuga or Canon]
a. The theme must be selected from among the three or more provided by the competition committee.
b. Variations are limited to keyboard instruments or performance types accompanied by keyboard instruments. The number of variations must be minimum three for Junior, and minimum five for Seniors.
c. The number of fuga voices is limited to between three and eight. In the case of canon, the number of voices is limited to between three and six.
d. English lyrics may be appliedd to either fuga or canon.

9. Other points to notes
a. Participants must bring their passport or ID.
b. Participants may either write their works directly on paper or use a computer and print them out. If use of a computer is intended, participants must bring their own computers(laptops).
All computers must be registered and cannot be removed from the competition location during the competition period.
Any other computer equipment or electronic devices must be registered in the same manner and the same restrictions apply.
During the competition the use of internet(with or without wires) is forbidden within the competition location. Information may not be taken out or brought into the competitionlocation using any portable electronic storage devices.
The competition committee will prepare printers for those who need them and all participants are required to use the printer assigned to them.
c. Every contestant is obliged to sign the honorary declaration stating that he/she will work independently, without any assistance from others.
d. Even if a candidate passed the 1st round, if a reason for disqualification is later discovered, advancement to the 2nd round may be nullified.
e. If a candidate who passed the 1st round is unable to participate in the 2nd round due to personal circumstances, then the candidate’s place will be afforded to the next runner-up.
f. In the event that one parodies or otherwise plagiarizes another composer's work and legal infringement occurs, the competition committee takes no responsibility.
10. Other Details
2nd round participants will be provided with all necessary accommodations, meals and transportation including a 10-day public traffic card for use within Prague(excluding airticket).
